Dr. Magdy Hussein
Dr. Hussein is the CEO and Founder of the Leadership Development Institute, where he brings together years of experience as a scholar, practitioner, and community leader. His work in organizational design has earned him recognition in academia, business, and the communities he serves.
Throughout his career, Dr. Hussein has combined deep research with hands-on practice. He is a Fellow of the Quarterly Review by the London Press and contributes regularly as a reviewer for respected international journals. His role on the International Journal of Core Engineering & Management editorial board reflects his commitment to advancing knowledge in his field.
He has also been honored three times by Chief Learning Officer Magazine as an official judge for the LearningElite Program, serves on the Workforce Group Business Intelligence Board, and is an active member of the National Speakers Association in Northern California. Drawing on his expertise in organizational design, he created the “Community By Design” model and continues to run workshops that help leaders, board members, and activists strengthen their organizations and communities.
Biography
Born in England and raised in Warri, Nigeria, Monica's educational journey led her from Nana Primary School in Warri to Mount Wachusett Community College in Gardner, Massachusetts. During her time at the University of Massachusetts Lowell, she not only outshined academically but also showcased her artistic talents as a dance leader and a published poet in the drama club.
Monica's passion for the arts began in her early years, writing songs with her sister at Nana Primary School and falling in love with drama at Hussey College Warri. She enhanced her acting skills with Silver Line Productions in Warri, touring with the theater group before focusing more on her musical pursuits. In the 1990s, Monica gained recognition for her background singing for luminaries like Sunny Okosun and Evi Edna, along with her contributions to various jingles and voice-over work.
Beyond the glamor of the entertainment industry, Monica has held executive roles at admired organizations such as the Hollywood and African Prestigious Awards and the Nollywood Producers Guild, USA. She is also a dedicated philanthropist, a motivational speaker, and an educator with graduate degrees from Mount Wachusett Community College, the University of Massachusetts, and Boston University.
